A glimpse of the Cotswolds
The purpose of this tour which will be of 7 – 8 hours duration is to give you ‘a glimpse of the Cotswolds’. The journey between each destination will follow a route ‘off the beaten track’ to give you a picturesque window of the character of the Cotswolds away from the principle areas of tourism and an insightful overview of life past and present. On this tour you will be offered several pre selected opportunities to explore on foot and a choice of several styles of refreshment. The tour will be conducted in a limousine with chauffeur who will also act as your guide. Your Chauffeur will be Mr Gordon Gill, born and educated in the Cotswolds and whose familiarity with the district includes a career in and around the RAF as a flying instructor. Wine Tours
The Rural Carriage Company Tour offers you the opportunity tovisit English vineyards in and around the Cotswold and Wessex districts in the company of an experienced wine tutor and guide who will provide you with a background to English wine production and introduce you to some of the unusual grape varieties cultivated here, as well as providing some useful tips on how to develop a tasting technique as an aid to the general appreciation and evaluation of wine.
